Arctic Shores Kennels is located at beautiful Stone Gate, and is situated on a large, private lake in the northwestern sector of the Stone Gate preserve. Family estates are nearby. The protection of the preserve provides a safe, spacious, and wholesome environment for our Siberian Huskies and Giant Alaskan Malamutes.
Stone Gate is a forty-three acre family estate and private wildlife preserve located in a remote area of Virginia. It is less than forty-five minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway which straddles the top of the Appalachian Mountain Range from Maine to Georgia. The nearest city is Lynchburg, Virginia which has a metro population of 215,000. The Lynchburg Regional Airport is a thirty minute drive west of Arctic Shores Kennels via U.S. Route 460.
U.S. Route 29, which passes north and south through Lynchburg, intersects Interstate 95 in Washington, D.C. and Interstate 85 in Greensboro, North Carolina. U.S. Route 460, an east-west highway passing through Lynchburg, intersects Interstate 81 in Roanoke, Virginia, and Interstates 95 and 85 in Petersburg, Virginia.
