Environment
Stone Gate, previously known as Loch Haven, is adjacent to large tracts of forest, and is the protected home to deer, black bear, wild turkeys, foxes, raccoons, oppossums, and other wild animals indigenous to the Eastern United States. Access to the forest preserve is restricted to protect the flora and fauna. There are two large lakes situated on Stone Gate's estate, which provide homes for geese, heron, and many different species of fish. School and college environmental programs are hosted by appointment only.
